North Korean Embassy Assault
Police have launched an investigation into an assault on the North Korean embassy in Madrid that saw a group of men enter the building and make off with computers.
Sources confirmed an assault took place and that the intelligence service was probing the incident.
A spokesperson for North Korean embassy said “nothing had happened.”
Spanish newspaper El Confidencial said the assault lasted “hours,” during which time an embassy employee managed to escape and alert the authorities.
Police have said a woman was injured and emergency services said they had treated three people.

No Deal Brexit

Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez will trigger a new raft of legal measures tomorrow destined to safeguard Spain, its Businesses and British residents in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
With four weeks to go until the UK is set to leave the European Union the Spanish leader announced contingency plans are set to go live at the touch of a button.
In a Parliamentary speech in which he slammed the alt-right ahead of April’s general elections and the apparent rise of independent party Vox, Sánchez pointed out that it was far-right politics that had led to Brexit.
He said the referendum result was ‘hugely regrettable’ and was largely thanks to the campaign by alt-right independents UKIP.

Catalan Trial
Former Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy made a strident defense of national unity when he appeared as a witness at the trial of a dozen Catalan separatists yesterday.
Rajoy told the Supreme Court that he had warned Catalonia’s separatist leaders on several occasions that “the law, national sovereignty and the Constitution are non-negotiable.”
The 12 Catalan separatists are charged with sedition and other alleged crimes. Their trial is expected to last months.

Social Security Fraud
National Police officers have arrested almost 60 people across many parts of the mainland following a massive investigation into social security fraud.
arrests were made in a number of provinces among them Alicante, Almeria, Cadiz, and Valencia
Those arrested have been charged with crimes against the social security system, document fraud and belonging to a criminal group.
In the province of Leon police said one company “had not paid any contributions from the more than 170 workers from 2009 to the present day robbing the system of about €575,000 euros”.
