Brexit
Spain has set up contingency plans in case there is no final deal on Brexit. Junior EU affairs minister Luis Marco Aguiriano said: “If the United Kingdom leaves without a deal, so does Gibraltar … what we want is an orderly exit.”
Spain welcomes the inclusion of a protocol on Gibraltar in the draft Brexit agreement but has not given up its claims on the British overseas territory, he added.
Mr Aguiriano told reporters the deal was “very positive” for workers and residents on Gibraltar.

Ambassador
The Belgian government has recalled its ambassador after Madrid withdrew the man’s diplomatic recognition.
The dispute started in October, when Spain stripped representative André Hebbelinck of his status, following comments made in Brussels by the Flemish parliament.
He criticised the decision by Spain to prosecute members of the Catalan regional government, comparing the situation to Bosnia at the height of the conflict in former Yugoslavia and expressed support for the separatist aims of Catalonia .. the former Catalan Presidient Carles Puigdemont, has taken refuge in Belgium.
Belgium will keep its regional office in Madrid open while a replacement is found.

Body
Another body of a migrant washed up on a beach in southern Spain this morning bringing the total death count of a recent boat accident to 20.
The Guardia Civil said the body washed up on a beach near Cadiz not far from the location of the accident that occurred on Nov. 5.

Toxic Gas
A WOMAN and her pet dog have been found dead in an apartment and first indications are that they were poisoned by toxic gas from a small cigarette burn in a pillow.
The 60-year-old woman and her pet were found lying motionless on a bed, in a closed room, in Sevilla after she didn’t answer a call and emergency services were alerted.
Neighbors reported a strong smell of gas and residents were evacuated while firefighters conducted a search of the building without any sign of a leak.
on closer inspection a cigarette burn was found in a pillow on the bed .. an early theory is that the burn could have generated toxic gas.
Police investigations are continuing.

Police Puppy
A German shepherd puppy which has been adopted by the police after they rescued him from an abusive owner .. has a new name.
Officers in Granada turned to the public for help, setting up a poll to choose the name.
Coming just a couple of days after the death of the comic book pioneer, the public chose Stan Lee.
German shepherds are regularly used as police dogs, so Stan Lee could yet find himself fighting crime like the superheroes created by his namesake.
