Ibiza Death
A British boy has died on Ibiza after being run over by a car.
The 14-year-old was hit by a Ford Fiesta carrying a family.
Police sources said he was in the middle of the road and not wearing a reflective jacket when he was struck late on New Year’s Day.
It was not immediately clear whether the youngster lived in Ibiza or was on holiday.
He had celebrated his 14th birthday on New Year’s Eve.
The Spanish driver, who had been traveling with his family, tested negative for both alcohol and drugs following the crash.
A Civil Guard source said: “The driver wasn’t at fault in any way and no action will be taken against him.

Barcelona Tram Crash
A tram accident in Barcelona this morning has left four people injured, including the driver.
The driver became trapped in the wreckage when the tram hit a pillar at the end of its route at the Sant Adrià station.

Monetary Fall

A British woman has been seriously injured after falling more than 80 ft from a hilltop monastery in Majorca.
The 25-year-old was rushed to hospital after the fall, which happened at the Sanctuary of Cura.
Firefighters rescued her and took her to the island’s Son Espases Hospital.
The unnamed woman is believed to have suffered head injuries and multiple fractures.

Hacker
The National Police have arrested a 17-year-old for hacking over 200 social media accounts.
The hacker requested a cryptocurrency payment from victims in exchange for the return of their social media accounts.
Several complaints were made that the hacker had taken over Twitter and Youtube accounts.
The investigation is still ongoing.
police are urging other victims of this or similar incidents to contact them via e-mail.

Brisbane Tennis
Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from the Brisbane International Tennis tournament on the eve of his first scheduled competitive match of the season because of a thigh strain.
Nadal .. ranked No 2 in the world .. had a bye in the first round and arrived in Australia after withdrawing from an exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi.
He played only nine tournaments during an injury-interrupted 2018 season, winning five titles.
The 17-time Grand Slam champion hasn’t played a competitive match since September but says he is confident he will be ready to compete at the Australian Open, which starts on Jan. 14.
