Demonstrations
Thousands of people marched in several cities in southern Spain last night to protest at the rise of Vox, a far-right party that has burst onto the political scene after an unexpectedly strong performance at the Andalusian regional election on Sunday.
Polls had only predicted five seats for the party, which instead attracted nearly 11% of the vote and earned 12 seats.
Anti-Vox demonstrations took place in provincial capitals across Andalusia, including Granada, Málaga and Seville, where marchers cried out slogans like “We are not afraid.”
In Granada, around 5,000 people joined an anti-fascist protest in front of City Hall.

Missing
A British animal trainer who is missing on Tenerife was filmed dancing with her boyfriend just minutes before she vanished.
Amy Louise Gerard was recorded on a mobile phone singing in the Molly Malone Irish pub in Puerto de la Cruz in the early hours of Friday morning.
The 28-year-old, who is originally from Grimsby, can be seen holding hands with German boyfriend.
Moments after the footage was taken she left the bar with her boyfriend before they parted ways at the entrance, and she has not been seen since.
Police and coastguard are now scouring the coastline amid fears she may have fallen into the ocean.
Friends and loved ones have described Amy’s disappearance as totally out of character and admitted they are worried.
A Spanish missing persons’ association has also appealed for information about her whereabouts.

Migrant Rescue
Maritime authorities have rescued and transferred to the port of Motril 38 people of sub-Saharan origin who were sailing in the vicinity of Alboran island.
The rescue was carried out 22 hours after the maritime rescue service was notified that several boats had departed from northern Morocco.

course of action. El Gol Digital report this morning that he “has decided to leave in January” and that Valencia are already close to agreeing a contract. Reports in Italy, however, suggest Fàbregas might move to Milan instead.
