The search continued yesterday for missing two-year-old Julen Rosello who fell down a well four days ago.
Yesterday authorities confirmed they found hair belonging to the boy in the well.
It was found on Sunday night but the find was only made public following DNA tests.
The Spanish news website El Espanol said a body had been found beneath a blockage around 240 ft down the 350ft borehole near Malaga.
But these reports now appear to be unfounded.
A Swedish firm which helped locate the 33 Chilean miners rescued in 2010 after 69 days underground joined the massive operation to try to locate the boy.
work was continuing on the excavation of two new tunnels.
