Ex Pat Voting
Madrid and London are finalising a bilateral agreement that will give British residents in Spain and Spanish residents in the UK the right to vote in post-Brexit local elections in the country in which they live.
Spain and Britain’s governments have decided to streamline a deal that will protect the rights of expat citizens.
The agreement will guarantee that Brits in Spain and Spaniards in the UK can continue to vote in local elections.
Until now Brexit was set to leave both groups without any voting rights in their country of residence, Currently registered residents even have the right to stand as candidates in local elections.

Missing Teacher
THE Guardia Civil and a search party of 200 volunteers have been looking for Laura Luelmo, a 26- year-old teacher, since Saturday.
Laura disappeared last Wednesday in El Campillo in Huelva province
All searches around the small town of El Campillo have been unsuccessful so far.
Police have confirmed there has been no arrests after the Guardia Civil ruled out that the missing teacher disappeared voluntarily.
Laura is from Zamora, northern Spain and had moved to El Campillo to start a teaching job just days ago.
She is described as 1.65 meters tall and has a slim build. She was last seen in running attire.

Petrol Prices
PETROL and diesel have dropped in price and are set to stay there till Christmas at least thanks to a fall in crude oil costs.
Lead-free 95 petrol is down to an average of €1.22 per litre diesel has fallen to €1.17.
Current prices remain well below their historic high of September 2012, when petrol was on average over €1.50 a litre.
The main reason is that Brent Crud oil has plummeted by 30%.

Motorway Tolls
MOTORWAYS ‘bought back’ from toll companies by the State will be free of charge to use between midnight and 06.00 in the morning so the ministry of public works has announced.
Following on from recent reports about a 30% drop in prices on nine of Spain’s main highways, it has since been revealed that night driving will be free.
At other times discounts will be offered for frequent users.
The price changes will come into effect on January 15.
Motorways affected locally are the AP-7 between Cartagena and Vera and the Alicante ring-road.
