Gibraltar
Spain will seek talks on joint sovereignty of Gibraltar once Britain has left the European Union, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said yesterday adding he had told his British counterpart he wanted to resolve the 300-year-old dispute.
Speaking after an EU leaders’ summit, Sanchez said Spain’s position over Gibraltar was stronger after the agreement of a Brexit deal because a Spanish policy effectively became EU policy.
Asked if he would seek a discussion over joint sovereignty once Britain leaves the bloc in March he said: “We will discuss all issues.”

Catalan Independence
A detained Catalan leader has called on Spain to come up with new proposals to resolve the dispute over the region’s status, and said fellow separatists will not necessarily insist on an immediate independence vote, in an apparent concession.
Jordi Sanchez appealed to the Prime Minister who has said he is open to a referendum on greater autonomy and has promised to lay out detailed plans in parliament on Dec. 12.
Catalan separatists had previously insisted they would not compromise on a solution that fell short of an Independence referendum. Prime Minister Sanchez’s political overture could pave the way for a renewed dialogue between central and regional governments.

Migration
Morocco’s navy on Saturday found the bodies of 15 migrants from sub-Saharan Africa on board a boat stranded at sea for days and rescued 53 survivors.
Coastguards found the vessel in the Mediterranean after it was left drifting for four days following engine failure on its way to Spain.
The survivors on board, including eight women, were taken to the port of Nador
On Friday the Moroccan navy said it rescued 289 migrants off Nador.

Electricity Prices
SPAIN’S electricity was officially the cheapest in Europe on Thursday it’s usually among the most expensive.
Rising prices for households have led the government to create a raft of measures to bring costs down.
This was largely due to a fall in renewable energy production across the continent whilst Spain’s wind and solar power production is now among the highest in Europe because of mild temperatures.
This situation will continue for a few more day’s according to experts.
