Brexit No Deal
The government will work to make things easier for British residents in Spain, even those without permanent residency status, in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
Madrid is planning to offer new residency papers to around 400,000 UK nationals if the country crashes out of the European Union without an agreement on the future relationship.
British residents in Spain will have to apply for a foreigner identity card before January 2021
This is one of the most salient measures contained in a contingency plan slated for approval by the Spanish Cabinet later today. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez made the announcement on Wednesday.
The decree extends all benefits to Gibraltar, although it underscores that Spain will have veto rights over the situation of the British Overseas Territory in any future agreement between London and Brussels.
All decisions that prolong the current status enjoyed by British citizens and businesses in Spain are made on condition that the UK will reciprocate with similar measures for Spanish residents there.

EU Rights
The EU has rejected calls for an agreement to protect UK and EU expats’ rights, if there is a no-deal Brexit.
Tory MP Alberto Costa quit the government to table an amendment calling for the protections.
It was backed by the government on Wednesday, with Mr Costa urging the PM to write to EU chiefs to demand an agreement on rights.
But the European Commission said it would “not negotiate mini deals” as it would imply negotiations had failed.

Michael Schumacher
Reports of Formula One legend Michael Schumacher getting better after his tragic accident have started to surface after there were rumours of him going to his luxurious villa in Spain.
The rumours were further verified when his neighbours told news outlets that they’d spotted him.
In the article Michael Schumacher was seen by his neighbours in the $35 million villa in Majorca, recently. This is disputing previous claims that the legendary seven-time world champion is receiving an all-around treatment in Germany.
Michael Schumacher had been in a coma after experiencing a traumatic brain injury on a skiing trip in the French Alps in December 2013.
