Deaths
Police are investigating the deaths of three Dutch nationals found in a house near Coín Málaga Province yesterday. The bodies of a man of 62, his 59-year-old wife and her mother aged 89, were discovered by the property’s owner who had not heard from them for some time .. the man was found hanged, but an autopsy will have to show how the women died.
All three bodies were in an advanced stage of decomposition.
Reportedly, the wife had terminal cancer and police are working on the assumption that the three may have decided to commit suicide together.
No suicide notes were found although, police said, the family’s papers were are all left in order and there was a written inventory of personal belongings.

Migrants
A humanitarian group operating a ship that rescued migrants making the crossing to Europe through the Med says it has arrived in the French port of Marseille.
SOS Mediterranee said the Aquarius is making a stopover while waiting for a new flag and is “determined to go back to sea as soon as possible.” The group urged European governments to find a new flag for the vessel to secure its future after Panama’s maritime authority removed the ship’s registration.
After five days stuck at sea in bad weather, 58 migrants saved on the Aquarius arrived in Malta over the weekend after being transferred to a Maltese naval vessel. The migrants will eventually be transferred to the four countries agreeing to accept them: France, Germany, Spain and Portugal.

Morocco’s navy rescued 37 of its citizens off the country’s coast yesterday as they were trying to cross to Europe.
The migrants were saved from their partially-inflated rubber dinghy, which was struggling in “unfavorable conditions.
After being rescued off the coast of Tangier the group was taken to the city’s port where they were “safe and sound”.
The dinghy they had been traveling in “sank just after the rescue operation”.

US 6th Fleet
The US ambassador to NATO, Kay Bailey Hutchison, has said Washington would evaluate any proposal to relocate the base of the US Sixth Fleet assigned to the Mediterranean from Naples to Rota in southern Spain, but had yet to receive such an offer.
Her comments at NATO headquarters in Brussels came four days after Spain’s main opposition leader, Pablo Casado of the PP said the United States would probably be interested in such a move “now that the Italian government is in the hands of populists”.

Nobel Peace Prize
Is Carles Puigdemont about to win a Nobel Peace Prize?
The former Catalan president .. who is in self imposed exile in Belgium .. is listed among the favorites to win the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize, alongside Pope Francis, Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump.
Carles Puigdemont, is listed as joint third on the favourites list by Time magazine.
The US newspaper compiled It’s list of favorites based on odds being offered by betting site Ladbrokes, which currently puts Puigdemont at odds of 12/1,
The magazine describes him as the “figurehead of last October’s unofficial Catalan independence referendum”.
The prize will announced from the Norwegian Nobel Institute in Oslo tomorrow.
Previous winners include Barack Obama Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama
