Returns this Saturday, June 6th, with a series of special measures. Only “25% of the stalls will be set up” and priority has been given to antiques which in a way, is returning to the original purpose of the market.
The stall-holders will have to fill in new technical sheets specifying the characteristics of the items they sell. In fact, the Councilor for Commerce explained that “we are taking advantage of this situation to breathe new air into the Rastro, which has been growing non-stop for almost 30 years. Now is the time to specify what kind of stalls the people want to visit.
The capacity of the enclosure will be controlled, and so Local Police and personnel from the city council will be present, along with the support of an external Security company. Access with a mask will be compulsory and at all times people must maintain safety distances . The Rastro will open at 9 am in the same location as always, the Xopà.
