Rabies
A BRITISH father-of-two has died in the UK from rabies a couple of weeks after being bitten by a cat while on holiday in Morocco – a popular day trip destination for holidaymakers on the Costa del Sol.
Omar Zouhri, 58, was bitten by a cat 30 miles from the Moroccan capital of Rabat.
He did receive treatment in Morocco and the UK, but allegedly was not given vital anti-viral drugs in time.
The disease is nearly always fatal if treatment is not given soon after the bite or scratch.
It is estimated that there are around 60,000 cases of rabies globally each year.

Explosion
A Town was rocked yesterday after an explosion at a fireworks factory.
The explosion was reported in Guadix, in the province of Granada.
reports said six people working at the site at the time of the explosion at around 6.30pm, and emergency services confirmed three deaths.

Rubbish
SPAIN has been issued with an ultimatum by the European Commission over 1,500 illegal dumps.
This is a violation of European legislation on waste, and officials have warned that if nothing is done to rectify the situation’, the Commission could take Spain before the Court of Justice.
As part of the infringement procedure, Brussels complained Spain was failing to meet its legal obligations in terms of waste management and protection of human health and the environment’.

The Premier League
The UK’s Premier League has awarded DAZN the exclusive broadcast rights in Spain in a three- season deal.
The live and on-demand sports-streaming service will screen all Premier League matches, more than 235 live per season.
The Premier League is one of the most popular football leagues in Spain and around the world, and more than 20 Spanish footballers call the Premier League home.
The deal will make the Premier League available to watch via streaming for the first time in Spain.

New Ferry Service
Trasmediterránea ferries has started a new service between Gandia on the Northern Costa Blanca and the ports of Ibiza and Palma on the Baleric Islands
The ship on the new route has capacity for 1,000 passengers and 300 cars.
