Illegal Passengers
Two men have been detained after they landed at a British airport without passports this morning.
The men, who claimed to be Iranian nationals, were onboard a Flybe flight from Alicante which landed at Exeter Airport in Devon.
When they landed the two men were said to have ‘pretended to faint’ as they went through Border Control and admitted not having passports.
A Home Office spokesperson said: ‘Two passengers presented themselves to Border Force officers.
‘Their cases will be dealt with in line with the UK’s immigration rules.’

Suicide
A woman has killed herself by jumping from the fifth floor of her Madrid flat as police tried to evict her.
The 65-year-old pensioner did not answer the door to bailiffs or police officers and then leapt from the window.
Pablo Iglesias, the leader of Podemos said the woman’s name was Alicia and noted that thousands of families had suffered eviction this year.
He pledged his party would continue to campaign “to lower rents and guarantee the right to housing”.
According to El País, the number of people being evicted from their homes rose 6.1% in the second quarter of this year amid high rent rises. The newspaper said that unpaid rent accounted for more than three in five of 10,500 evictions in the period.
The property website Idealista said average rents in Spain rose 15.6% in the second quarter of the year compared with last year.

Ryanair
Spain has found Ryanair guilty of violating cabin crews’ right to strike and work safety regulations as well as obstructing labour inspections, threatening to fine the low-frills airline for 16 infractions, unions said.
The labour ministry found that the company, by emailing or calling employees to see if they would stop work before planned strikes had infringed on their right to strike.
The labour ministry confirmed it had “given the company notice of infractions,” but refused to reveal further details.
Europe’s biggest low cost airline has been clashing with worker representatives for close to a year over contracts, pay and work conditions.

Missing In Benidorm
The search continues for Norah in Benidorm after her disappearance on Saturday morning.
Her family have revealed she suffers from Alzheimer’s and is believed to have left without a phone or money.
a coordinated search took place in Benidorm this lunchtime focusing on local parks and areas around the Poniente Beach.
CCTV footage from 5:15am on Saturday morning shows Norah leaving the Gran Bali hotel .. the last reported sighting.
She may respond to her maiden name Norah Byrne but is known as Nora Garratt.
She celebrated her 63rd birthday last week.

Traffic Fine
Gerard Pique has been fined nearly 50,000 euros for driving with a suspended license.
The Barcelona defender appeared before a judge yesterday and was ordered to pay the fine for the incident that happened in August.
Pique’s license was not valid when he was stopped by police during a random check in Barcelona. It had been suspended because of an excessive number of traffic infractions.
The sentencing specifies that Pique has to pay 200 euros daily for eight months.
