Gang Killing
THE latest victim of gangland warfare who was shot and killed outside his home on Tuesday night was French and middle aged.
The man was shot several times as he entered the garage of his home near Malaga.
The killer, believed to be hired by a criminal gang, sped away on a motorbike.
No further details were available as an investigation is on going.

Parliament Trouble
A pro-Catalan independence MP was ejected from the Spanish parliament Yesterday for causing a scene and breaching parliamentary norms during a heated debate with the foreign minister who complained of having been spat at.
Gabriel Rufian, an outspoken member of the Republican Left of Catalonia the ERC triggered the fracas by calling Spain’s top diplomat and fellow Catalan Josep Borrell a fascist and demanding he step down after describing him as the most undignified minister in the history of Spanish democracy.

Prostitution
The National Court has outlawed a union of sex workers, saying that recognition of the group amounted to making the exploitation of prostitutes legal.
Yesterday’s ruling agreed with two women’s rights groups that filed a lawsuit against the OTRAS sex workers’ organization. The groups argued that the unionizing move amounted to a legal recognition of pimping.
The Socialist government, which has laid a feminist agenda and advocates stopping prostitution altogether, admitted in August that it approved OTRAS’ as a union by mistake.

Brexit
European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker has cancelled a trip to Spain this week to focus on Brexit negotiations.
A spokesperson said that instead of visiting Spain today and tomorrow Juncker would remain in Brussels leading up to Sunday’s EU leaders’ summit.
The meeting is set to “finalise and formalise” the Brexit agreement that has been struck with British Prime Minister Theresa May.

Amazon
Amazon Yesterday opened its first pop-up store in Spain in an old building in one of Madrid’s shopping districts
Similar stores will open in Italy, Germany and Britain, an Amazon spokeswoman said. The European pop-up stores illustrate how the world’s largest online retailer is increasingly turning to physical stores to attract and keep customers.
Amazon opened a new store in New York in September.
