National Weather agency AEMET counted over 4 thousand lightning bolts on the Costa Del Sol yesterday as weather alerts were raised from yellow to Amber with many towns across the Med coast implementing emergency flood protection plans.
The local emergency control centres recieved many calls for assistance as heavy rain fell asross the region .. there’s more heavy rain forcast this weekend .. especially Saturday.
Missing Mum.
A SPANISH judge who shelved the case against prime suspect Simon Corner in the Lisa Brown murder investigations in April has reopened the case.
Three judges at a provincial court in Cadiz have ordered the court in San Roque, which led the investigation into Lisa’s disappearance to reopen the case.
Lisa’s body has never been found.
Scottish mum-of-one Lisa, who was 32 when she vanished, was last seen at her home near San Roque on November 4, 2015.
Investigators have said they believed a ‘violent episode’ had taken place prior to her disappearance.
Gibraltar
The status of of Gibraltar .. after Britain leaves the European Union .. has been agreed Spain’s prime minister confirmed yesterday.
Gibraltar will leave the EU along with the UK in March next year. Its status, and that of two British sovereign areas in EU member Cyprus, forms part of any overall divorce agreement with the EU.
The part of the Brexit negotiations related to the status of Gibraltar had now been agreed with Britain, Pedro Sanchez said at a news conference on the sidelines of an EU summit in Brussels, without giving any further details.
However, Spain and Britain are still holding separate bilateral talks regarding Gibraltar, focusing on matters such as environmental issues, tax affairs and tobacco trade

Barcelona.
The Sagrada Familia Cathedral in Barcelona has agreed to pay some 35 Million Euros to the city authorities after going without a building permit for more than 130 years.
The spectacular church designed by architect Antoni Gaudí, is a Unesco world heritage site and still under construction.
Work began on the building in 1882.
Barcelona’s mayor said the deal was an historic agreement.
The basilica will pay the money over 10 years to improve public transport and access to the monument and assist the local neighborhood.
In return its status should be regularized early next year so Mayor Ada Colau said.
About 4.5 million people visit the Sagrada Familia each year, with a further 20 million people visiting the area to look at it.
The main structure is due to be completed by 2026, the centenary of Gaudí’s death.
