Arabia, a contract it had

decided to halt last week because of the Saudis’ role in the war in
Yemen .. so the El Periodico

The defense ministry declined to comment.

The newspaper said the defense ministry had told the Gulf kingdom
yesterday morning the contract

Championship or the 2030 World

Cup.

Spanish media reports say the idea was brought up yesterday in a
meeting involving FIFA President

Gianni Infantino, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and soccer federation
president Luis Rubiales.

Several reports said a bid to host the 2030 World Cup could possibly
be made jointly with Portugal

and Morocco.

Spain hosted the 1982 World Cup. The city of Bilbao will host matches
